MJ provided mobile and static laser scanning (LiDAR) services to document the conditions of five Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) stations in Virginia and Maryland.
The information was utilized for overall station improvements. MJ’s laser scanning technicians obtained LiDAR, in conjunction with photo imagery, on both the interior and exterior areas of the stations.
MJ modeled the stations and surrounding infrastructure, which was utilized by the design build team for quantity estimates and CAD base plans. MJ also developed a virtual tour, using MJ4D, to allow the design team to walk through the project areas remotely.
