MJ recently attended the Commercial UAV Expo in Las Vegas, the world’s leading event focused on commercial drone technology. The conference brought together industry professionals from across the globe to explore how UAVs are transforming data collection and project delivery. This year, 230 exhibitors and 3,393 drone professionals met in person to learn, connect, and drive the industry forward!
Michael Koterba, PLS, Chief Technology Officer and Joe Malinowski, III, UAV Pilot and Survey Technician represented MJ at the event. As part of the Applanix User Group, Michael Koterba delivered a presentation titled “Multi-Domain Reality Capture: Sensor Fusion Across UAVs, Terrestrial, and Marine Systems.” He highlighted how MJ integrates UAVs with land and marine based survey methods to support a wide range of applications, from construction documentation and forensic surveys to disaster response and offshore monitoring.
Central to MJ’s UAV work is MJ4D, the firm’s in-house digital twin platform. MJ4D allows users to view and analyze synchronized data sets, including aerial and ground-based LiDAR, imagery, and georeferenced maps, all accessible through a web browser.
By showcasing its innovative UAV capabilities and commitment to technology integration, MJ continues to advance how projects are documented, visualized, and delivered.
